Nicole King
N'GAI
Nicole King was born with creativity in her DNA. Her father, a Harvard grad architect, and mother, a renowned creative artist and Smithsonian Institute recognized indigo textile designer; provided a nurturing creative environment where Nicole was encouraged to explore and express her artistic self-expression from a very young age. Fueled by a cultivated vintage-inspired sensibility while remaining true to her rigorous academic and design experience in New York and Paris, this award-winning Parson’s graduate has been pouring her spiritual soul into her craft and her career for the better part of three decades. She has successfully led design teams at the GAP as the Design Director for the 1969 Denim Vintage Collection, helming the design direction for AG Jeans and Mavi Jeans Collections and was later recognized for the diverse “style facelifts” she envisioned for numerous global brands such as Ralph Lauren, Seven For All Mankind, Rich and Skinny, DWP and Ever Worldwide.Having successfully held the design reigns at Norisol Ferrari, Nicole has recently launched her own capsule collection: N’gai… (n-gay). N’gai… collaborates with the most amazing textile, print and mix media artisans, thus creating sustainable micro brands that can launch and exist independently after their success on this sustainable platform.
